Our Playground Leaders are Year 6 pupils who show enthusiasm, responsibility, and kindness.

Playground Leaders at Parklands:

• Are supported in school and receive regular training to fulfil their role
• Support physical activity & play in both the KS1 or KS2 playgrounds at break and lunchtimes.
• Encourage children to join in and have fun.
• Introduce new games and activities to keep the playground exciting.
• Support pupils who may be less active or have smaller friendship groups to feel included.
• Take responsibility for looking after and organising the new playground equipment.
• Are consulted about future games activities they feel would be popular
• Act as positive role models, sharing and promoting our school values through their actions, cooperation, and respect for others.

At Parkland Primary School, we take lunch & break times seriously. They form an important part of our pupils’ 60 active minutes each day and help them to focus, learn, and develop into happier, healthier children.
