At Parklands Primary School we have high aspirations for our children and

our aim is that every child leaves Parklands Primary School a confident, fluent reader who loves reading and has a reading age that at least matches their chronological age.

We have implemented the phonics scheme Read Write Inc from September 2023 as it is the UK’s leading phonics programme. It provides an extensive range of resources to support and teach children to read, as well as a comprehensive training programme for staff which enables us to develop ‘reading experts’.
